Hand-made marbles |
You pick the colors! |
Something I do to use up the tag-ends of my rods. These marbles are made from Moretti/Effetre and Vetrofond glass, which is softer than the pyrex used in dime-store marbles, so they're more decorative than functional. I'm not set up to make the really large ones, so my biggest marbles measure about 1 1/4". My smallest is about the size of a pea. If you do wire-wrapping or know someone who does, that would be an interesting challenge! Marbles run $10.00 for the large ones, $5.00 for medium, and $3.00 for small.

"We wish a ticket to ride where the railroad tracks run off into the
sky and never come backsend us far as the railroad rails go and then
forty ways farther yet," was the reply of Gimme the Ax.
"So far? So early? So
soon?" asked the ticket agent wiping more sleep out of his eyes. "Then
I will give you a new ticket. It blew in. It is a long slick leather slab ticket
with a blue spanch across it."
